Crazy Gas Prices

We ended the day yesterday with gas prices at 3.13 a gallon and started today with gas at 3.45 a gallon. That's a 32 cent increase. My gosh. Will it ever be below 3.00 again?

Hurricane Ike

Back on September 14 Hurricane Ike hit here in Ohio. It was pretty bad considering we have never seen anything like this here. We had some major damage and in our area of the state 1.7 million people lost power including us. We were lucky and got our power back after 12 hours in the dark others were not so lucky. Yesterday at 1:10pm everybody finally had there power restored.

We had sustained winds of 63 MPH here with guests to 78 MPH. I liked going outside to stand in it. Never seen anything ...

Did anyone watch the Olympics this year? I always can't wait for Olympics. I really enjoy watching it. I am actually not that much into sports but for some reason I love the Olympics.

Paradise Pier Hotel

I just booked a one bedroom suite at the Paradise Pier Hotel in the Disneyland Resort complex in California. There's conflicting information on various websites about what a one bedroom suite includes. Does anyone know if Concierge service is an automatic with the one bedroom suites? Is the term "junior suite" synonymous with "one bedroom suite"? What's an Imperial Suite? Any help is appreciated!

THe last two trips I have took to WDW I have ate at both Rose and Crown at EPCOT and Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga. Both are my favorite.

Rose & Crown. I love the Fish and Chips and the views are beautiful. Everytime I have gone I have been a party of 1 and they sit me outside on the patio with a beautiful view of the lake. Could not ask for a better meal and atmosphere.

Turf Club Bar & Grill. I love the Bacon Cheeseburger they have and the Choclate Lava Cake they have ...

Attendance was up quite a bit last year at the theme parks. Of course that's great news for Disney, but is it great news for visitors? I've read on various sites that there really aren't any 'slow' times anymore when you can go and have a very relaxed day in the parks. Is this the case? Are the busy times getting too busy? Hi all, I'm new here. In the midst of planning our second trip to WDW! Myself and DD are going 11/30-12/6 for her 10th b-day. Can't wait!!

This is the third time we're using Moustyme agent KimH. We also did a Disney cruise in 2006. Kim is so great, she answers all my questions makes my ADR's and other reservations, I don't think I could plan a Disney trip without her!

Tomorrowland Speedway Dropping INDY from name

The Tomorrowland "Indy" Speedway will be dropping the word "Indy" from it's name. The sponsorship deal has ended. Removal of all signs is in the process of being removed, including the decals on the vehicles themselves.

I just heard today that at all counter service locations around Disney World they are no longer serving chicken strips. THey have replaced the chicken strips with chicken nuggets

As you may have heard. Disney has decided to close VMK on May 21, 2008. This has confused many, Disney said they only opened VMK as a promotion. Although this was not stated in the beginning of VMK. VMK become a very popular game, and has a very large following. Disney is suggesting that people start using their other game sites, Penguins, ToonTown etc.. I did try these sites, and quite frankly they do not measure up to the quality of VMK.

The night before last, I was baking supper. I made a great chicken dish, in a pyrex baking dish. I opened the over to check on it and it suddenly exploded. Lucky it didn't spread out far enough to hurt me, while I was running.

Needless to say supper wasn't any good for consumption. I closed the door. And cleaned the floor of glass shards. With a low riding dog like radar, I got nervous. I vacummed, swept and used a damp mop, to make sure I had all the pieces.

American Idol Attraction

Just curious what everyone thinks of the American Idol attraction coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios? Some say the show is past its prime and should not come to Disney. Ratings contiue to fall and the show is just not what it used to be.

I have a few opinions.

1) I think it is better to have something there then nothing at all.

2) It will be intersting to see how the show is presented at Disney. I hope this attraction has some of the feel that Millionaire did. I loved Millionaire ...

We are going to Disney 3/15. We are a family of 4 ( kids ages 5 & 6). iWere supposed to stay at the Caribbean Beach but were told the main pool is closed. The only other choice in moderate is Coronado Springs. Should we change the reservations??
